Chilli and Matthew Lawrence demonstrate that it's "never too late" to find lasting love.

After being a couple for three years, the pair are hosts of new dating show Second Chance Love, and recently spoke to Entertainment Tonight about how they've built relationship longevity. While Chilli has dated the likes of Usher and Dallas Austin, who's the father of her 28-year-old son, Tron, she has never been married. Lawrence was married to dancer and choreographer Cheryl Burke from 2019 to 2022.

Around the three-minute mark of the video below, Chilli told Lawrence that he's helped bring her out of her "shell," while the actor said the former TLC member allows him to be more "communicative."

"We're a team and and I love this so much about you that we just want to support each other," Lawrence said. "We're both here to kind of serve this relationship which is the greater part of it. It's both of us together that we just want to serve."

Elsewhere, Lawrence said that while both of their past relationships were unsuccessful, he and Chilli were "able to magically meet and come together" later in life. "It's never too late. There's always going to be hope that love is there," he said.

The couple also talked about their dating qualifiers and dealbreakers, with Chilli admitting that she doesn't "believe in sweeping things under the rug" when they have a disagreement. But the couple refuse to argue with each other, which they elaborated on while visiting talk show Sherri earlier this month.

"When you think about it, you want to talk out your differences and you don't have to yell at each other to do that," the singer told host Sherri Shepherd. "If I'm upset and he's upset or whatever, then sometimes, let's talk about this later so we're not yelling at each other or saying something that we're gonna wanna apologize for it because you hurt their feelings."
