Akademiks has doubled down on voting for President Donald Trump in the 2024 election.

Following the release of Drake's new album, Iceman, UPROXX reporter Jeremy Hecht called out the streamer for dismissing MAGA aligning themselves with the album’s artwork.

"I have some sources, too, Ak, and I know that you’re getting paid by the head of Truth Social," Hecht said in the video below, adding that the hip-hop media personality "aggressively" responded to an X post about the political commentary about Iceman.

Akademiks, who topped Complex’s 2026 Hip-Hop Media Power Ranking, paused the video to acknowledge that he voted for Trump.

"Yo, news flash. You see, all you bitch-ass n***s in hip-hop and you scared to lose your audience or whatever. I told n****s I fuck with Trump. I fuck with Trump. I. Me. My audience don't have to. I do," Ak replied.

"And I don't care if I'm Black, whatever, whatever. I fucked with him when he got elected. I don't think he's doing the best job now. When people said, do you regret voting for him or support him? No. Because the other option I thought was worse," he added, referencing former Vice President Kamala Harris.

Ak added that he refused to "keep it a secret" that he supported Trump. "I thought Trump was going to be the better candidate. I wanted Trump to win. He won," he said. "He ain't doing the best job now. I could criticize him too. Man, I don't know what he got going on with Israel. He need to calm it down."

Ak concluded by denying that he gets paid to advocate for Trump. The media personality previously responded to Hecht by calling the MAGA-fied Iceman cover "free promo" for Drizzy.

"Ain’t no denouncing f*ck n***a," Ak posted. "Take that woke shit back to the f*cking dot era! It’s iceman szn."
