In a newly resurfaced video from February 2024, Nicola Peltz Beckham had nothing but positive things to say about the Beckham family during an interview with TODAY.
The interview comes as a stark contrast to where Nicola stands with her in-laws now, as the public feud between the Beckham’s and Nicola and her husband, Brooklyn Beckham, wages on.
At the time of the interview, Nicola, who is the daughter of billionaire Nelson Peltz, had come on TODAY to promote her new movie, Lola. Nicola was not only the director but also the star of the film.
During the interview, Nicola was also asked about her relationship with the Beckham family. At the time, she had been married to Brooklyn, David and Victoria’s eldest child, for two years.
From the way that Nicola discussed her in-laws, it appeared that the dynamic between her and the Beckham family was one of love and support.
“I come from a big family that we are all so close, and now [I have] an even bigger family. Brooklyn grew up so close with his family. So now, for us to all be able to spend time together, I feel so lucky,” she gushed.
Nicola took the time to show her gratitude to Victoria, specifically, who had flown out to attend the premiere of Lola.
The fact that Victoria flew out to support me meant so much to me. It really did,” she said, also calling David and Victoria “the most amazing people in the world.”
While it’s not clear how exactly things went so wrong, Nicola and Brooklyn are no longer on speaking terms with David and Victoria.
In fact, Brooklyn even went as far as to cast some very serious allegations against them. In an extensive statement shared to his Instagram story, Brooklyn accused his parents of continuing “to go to the press” over the years, “leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.”
He also stated that he has no intention of reconciling with his family.
