Brittany Mahomes has wowed the internet after undertaking a super cool project. The wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes decided to try a craft that she saw on Instagram that involved freezing blocks of ice in trays to make an igloo outside for her kids to play in.
“Just a couple rookies trying to show you the whole process of how to build an igloo…would say we will do better next time but there will never be a next time,” Brittany captioned an Instagram Reel on Monday, February 2.
The process, though time-consuming, was impressive. Brittany began by freezing water in aluminum foil containers and setting them outside in the snow to freeze. The two older Mahomes kids, Sterling and Bronze, were on-hand to help by adding different colors to the trays, using what appeared to be food coloring.
Despite the frigid temperatures in Kansas City, Brittany said that she had to refill the containers after five days. Once everything was frozen, however, it was time to build. Brittany enlisted the help of some of her adult friends when it came to assembling the pieces. The construction seemed to go smoothly and things started coming together once the group found a good groove.
Even though it took two days to finish building, the colorful igloo was quite impressive — and the internet agrees. Brittany received a lot of feedback on her post, with many fans in awe of the homemade ice house.
“Stop! This is so cute,” one person commented.
“That’s the cutest, coolest, and very colorful ice kid castle ever! Lots of beautiful childhood memories from their beautiful Mom to enjoy when they are all grown up. Bravo Brittany,” someone else said.
“Miss my kids being this age. It’s a magical time. [You’re] doin good momma. Take all the videos and pics. It goes by way [too] fast,” a third comment read.
“Great job! The kids will remember this for years to come,” a fourth Instagram user added.
