Serena Williams has still got it. The retired tennis champion hit the gym on July 11 and decided to share some selfies with her fans.
"Working out and working on my angles," Williams captioned an Instagram post. In the photos, Williams showed off her incredible figure, including her very visible six-pack abs.
It didn't take long for fans to take over the comments section of the post, letting Williams know just how great she looks.
"Did anyone say ‘we miss you playing’ yet? You literally look back to your early twenties," one person wrote.
"You did it! You got your Bionic Woman body back. Congratulations! The hard work paid off," someone else added.
"Serena, you look amazing," a third comment read.
"She ripped. She could make a comeback at this weight. She won't have the power, but she may be more agile," a fourth Instagram user said.
Since retiring from tennis in 2022, Williams has come up with different ways to stay in shape — and it's clearly been working.
In a 2022 interview with Vogue, Williams shared some details about how she stays fit now that she's not on the court.
"My at-home fitness routine right now is just a lot of cardio. I do HIIT workouts (high-intensity interval training), a little stretching, a little strength training, but mostly cardio training," she told the outlet.
"I do the cardio exercises on Tonal, which is really helpful for me just to get my body back and used to calisthenics. I don't necessarily want a trainer in my room or in the gym with me, so just having the Tonal trainers is a relief. It's just something different from what I've been doing for the past 20-plus years, and it's refreshing. But I definitely listen to my body. My favorite type of cardio is running, but my body has to be fit to be able to run or else my knees will hurt," she continued, adding, "I’m basically trying to do cardio every single day–even if it's, like walking a few miles, it still counts."
