Speed skating star Jutta Leerdam has safely arrived in Northern Italy ahead of the 2026 Winter Olympics.

Leerdam, 27, took to Instagram on Monday, February 2, to share some pictures of herself posing in front of the Olympic Rings which have been set up in a plaza area ahead of The Games.

In the photos, Leerdam wore a pair of skin-tight black leggings and a long-sleeve orange top, showing off her athletic form.

“Hi, Olympic Games,” she captioned the post.

Dozens of fans reacted to Leerdam’s photos in the comments section of the post.

“Go get ‘emmmm,” one comment read.

“We love you — you are the most modern, futuristic genius hero on Earth, and we are all liberated by you, Jutta!!!!” someone else wrote.

“Go win it all!!” a third person added.

“Dang girl orange is so you!! You got this,” another social media user said.

Leerdam has already carved out an impressive career in long-track speed skating. Born in December 1998 in the Netherlands, she began speed skating at a young age, quickly emerging as a standout talent. She rose through the junior ranks, winning multiple world junior titles before making her senior international debut in 2018.

Leerdam specializes in sprint events, particularly the 500m and 1000m races, where she has claimed several World Championship gold medals. Her breakthrough came at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, where she earned a silver medal in the 1000m, solidifying her status as one of the sport’s elite competitors.

As far as the upcoming Olympics go, Leerdam will be going for gold in multiple events, including the 1000m, which will take place at the Milano Speed Skating Stadium on February 9.

The Opening Ceremony will be held on February 6 in Milan, though some events, including curling will get underway starting on February 4. The Games will conclude on February 22.
