The White House came for Samantha Bee and TBS on Thursday morning, after Bee called Donald Trump’s daughter and WH staffer Ivanka Trump a “feckless c**t” during a segment on Bee’s TBS show, Full Frontal.

“The language used by Samantha Bee last night is vile and vicious. The collective silence by the left and its media allies is appalling,” White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in a statement, per Deadline. “Her disgusting comments and show are not fit for broadcast, and executives at Time Warner and TBS must demonstrate that such explicit profanity about female members of this administration will not be condoned on its network.”

While TBS hasn’t yet responded, the network has taken the video down.

Following the White House’s statement, Deadline revealed that Bee has since apologized to Ivanka. “I would like to sincerely apologize to Ivanka Trump and to my viewers for using an expletive on my show to describe her last night,” Bee stated. “It was inappropriate and inexcusable. I crossed a line, and I deeply regret it.”

Bee made the remark during Wednesday night’s episode of Full Frontal, while speaking about Donald Trump’s immigration policy and how the federal government’s Office of Refugee Resettlement “lost” 1,500 migrant children in 2017. “Tearing children away from their parents is so evil, it’s the inciting incident in almost every movie we’ve ever cared about!” Bee said during her show.

TBS remarked: "Samantha Bee has taken the right action in apologizing for the vile and inappropriate language she used about Ivanka Trump last night. Those words should not have been aired. It was our mistake too, and we regret it."

Attorney General Jeff Sessions had previously announced that immigrants coming into the country without documentation would be separated from their children, as the White House Chief of Staff John Kelly described, the children would be “put into foster care or whatever.”

While Bee noted that the system precedes Trump, it entered the news cycle recently because the number of children lost in 2017 was revealed—and that's the moment Ivanka tweeted a photo of herself with her baby boy.

“You know, Ivanka, that’s a beautiful photo of you and your child, but let me just say, one mother to another, ‘Do something about your dad’s immigration practices, you feckless c**t!’” Bee stated. “He listens to you! Put on something something tight and low cut and tell your father to fucking stop it! Tell him it was an Obama thing, and see how it goes!”
