Timothée Chalamet apparently has some Caribbean ancestry.

The Marty Supreme actor made the revelation during a stop at Druski’s auditions for Coulda Been Records in Brooklyn. When a woman, named Che, made her way in front of Chalamet and Druski, the comedian pointed at Chalamet and told her, “You know, he’s two percent Jamaican,” at around the 31:30 minute mark.

Chalamet agreed: “I’m two percent, yeah.”

At that point, Druski kept telling the woman that Timmy is Jamaican. “Why you think he say Chalamet?” Druski asked. “Girl, that’s fucking Jamaican.”

“Exactly,” Chalamet said, the woman seemingly believing Druski. “I had a great-grandparent from Kingston,” Chalamet added, as the woman and Druski started imitating a Jamaican accent.

Chalamet tripled down on the story. “What’s that song? ‘Bend Over?’” he said before reciting some of the lyrics. It appears that the song he’s referencing is “Bend Over” by RDX, a reggae duo from Kingston, Jamaica.

For months, Druski has been touring different cities for Season 2 of Coulda Been Records auditions, where locals rap, sing, tell jokes and display other talents to woo over the comedian. It looks like Chalamet joined Druski as promo for Marty Supreme, which arrives on Christmas Day. Chalamet hosted the “pre-auditions,” which saw him flanked by two ping-pong figures, wearing a customary brown, orange, and white version of his Marty Supreme jacket.

This week also saw Chalamet host an underground table tennis tournament organized by Airbnb.
