Kim Kardashian still has yet to speak publicly about being the victim of that armed robbery in Paris, but she let her lawyers do the talking earlier this month when she filed a lawsuit against the online gossip site MediaTakeOut. Today that lawsuit, which claimed the website "victimized" Kardashian a second time by calling her "a liar and thief" in a series of articles after the robbery, has been dropped, according to USA Today.

The articles in question accused Kardashian of faking the robbery that netted millions of dollars worth of jewelry, then claimed that she'd filed a fraudulent insurance claim for the missing items. "Defendants' reckless and malicious publication of the Articles was calculated to cause maximum harm to Kardashian," the lawsuit stated.

The site has now posted a lengthy apology to its website under the headline "RETRACTION: Kim Kardashian Was In Fact ROBBED In Paris!!," admitting that the posts were "false."

Kardashian and her family have reportedly stepped up security since the robbery, where the suspects entered her Paris hotel room, tied her up and gagged her. A video shows the alleged robbers getting away via foot and bicycle, but no arrests have been made.
