Kim Kardashian is firing back at those who have accused her of fabricating the armed robbery in Paris. Kardashian has filed a federal lawsuit against MediaTakeOut for multiple posts on the multimillion-dollar jewelry heist, TMZreported Tuesday. According to the suit, Kardashian alleges the website cited "random people off social media" as its sources.

The site also published a story claiming "French authorities" suspected Kardashian had let the group of armed men into the apartment herself, questioning the validity of her insurance claim on the stolen jewelry. Kardashian reportedly contacted her legal team immediately after noticing the posts, but received no response from MediaTakeOut representatives. Thus, now there's a big-ass lawsuit on the table.

Though Kim Kardashian has remained silent since the terrifying attack at the hands of multiple unidentified men, her sister Khloé briefly updated everyone on the family’s status during a visit to the Ellen DeGeneres Show Tuesday. "I mean, [Kim's] not doing that well," she told DeGeneres. "It's incredibly traumatic what happened to her. But our family is super close and great and we'll get through this together. We do appreciate all of your guys' love and support. It will take time."

The ongoing investigation into the Paris robbery has hit multiple roadblocks in recent days, including the Us Weekly-alleged revelation that the assailants may have devised a double decoy to confuse police. Shortly after TMZ reported that a piece of stolen jewelry had been discovered by a passerby near the apartment building, a "police official" told Us Weekly that the item was likely left behind on purpose to distract from a grander escape plan. "They wanted us to believe that they were amateurs, but all the real clues point to them being extremely sophisticated professionals," the source said.
