Rachel Accurso is rallying support around fellow children’s creator Daniel Coleman after the death of his 14-year-old son, Isaac, following a battle with cancer. The emotional message arrived just hours after Coleman publicly confirmed that Isaac died on May 21, closing a heartbreaking chapter that many parents and followers had been watching unfold online for months.
Accurso, better known to millions of families as Ms. Rachel, shared a message on Instagram urging parents and caregivers to send love to Coleman and his family. “Please send so much love and so many thoughts and prayers to Danny Go and his beautiful family,” she wrote, per Variety.
She also reflected on Isaac’s “amazing joy” and the “immense pride” his family carried for him, while encouraging supporters to stream “Danny Go!” and surround the family with encouragement during their loss.
Coleman announced Isaac’s death in a deeply personal Instagram post. “Oh my sweet boy. There’s so much I want to say, but I don’t know how yet,” he wrote, adding that revisiting photos and videos of Isaac reminded him of the teenager’s resilience and spirit.
“Your 14 years were full of so many challenges, but you met them all with such grit,” Coleman wrote. “You somehow kept your trademark joy in spite of it all.”
Isaac had faced serious health complications throughout his life. He was born with Fanconi anemia, a rare inherited disorder that can cause bone marrow failure, physical abnormalities, and a significantly increased risk of cancer.
In late 2025, doctors discovered an aggressive tumor in his mouth. Early in 2026, Isaac underwent extensive surgery that removed the tumor along with portions of affected tissue and several teeth. Despite those efforts, the cancer continued to spread and eventually advanced to stage 3, nearing stage 4.
As Isaac’s condition worsened, Coleman made the decision to cancel his planned 2026 tour to focus entirely on family. In April, he shared that Isaac had entered hospice care as doctors shifted toward comfort-focused treatment. Coleman said at the time that the family was trying to make Isaac’s remaining days “as enjoyable and restful as possible.”
“Danny Go!” has quietly become one of the fastest-growing children’s brands online. The educational music-and-movement series recently broke into Netflix’s Top 10 children’s programming lineup, often appearing alongside Ms. Rachel.
