A new family photo shared by Meghan Markle is giving fans another glimpse into life at home with Princess Lilibet of Sussex—and revealing that the 5-year-old may already be a fan of Beyoncé.
According to People, on June 9, Meghan posted a collection of family photos to Instagram under the caption, “Springing into summer 🌼.” Among the images was a photo of Lilibet wearing a white T-shirt that read “B is for Beyoncé,” accompanied by an illustrated portrait of the global music icon. The shirt appeared to be designed by Lilibet herself.
Other photos in the new Instagram collection featured Harry spending time with Prince Archie of Sussex in the backyard, where the pair played soccer with an oversized ball. Meghan also included images of seasonal produce and products from her lifestyle company, As ever, along with a black-and-white photo of herself and Harry dating back to 2017.
The post arrived just days after Lilibet celebrated her fifth birthday. Meghan recently shared new birthday photos showing the young princess with her father, Prince Harry, and exploring the gardens of the family's Montecito home.
The Beyoncé reference carries extra significance given the long-running connection between the singer and the Sussexes. The two women first met publicly at the London premiere of The Lion King in 2019. That same year, Beyoncé and Jay-Z famously accepted a Brit Award while standing in front of a portrait of Meghan, calling her a “Melanated Mona” during their acceptance speech.
Their relationship remained supportive in the years that followed. After Meghan and Harry’s 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, Beyoncé publicly praised Meghan’s “courage and leadership.” Meghan later revealed in the Netflix series Harry & Meghan that Beyoncé had privately reached out, encouraging her and expressing support during a difficult period.
More recently, Harry and Meghan attended Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter tour stop in Los Angeles, with Meghan later thanking the singer and her team for what she described as “an amazing concert” and “a very fun date night.”
