A new LEGO release is landing right on cue for Star Wars Day, with a large-scale Mandalorian Starfighter set arriving as anticipation builds for The Mandalorian & Grogu. The Ultimate Collector Series model recreates Din Djarin’s upgraded N-1 Starfighter and is available starting May the 4th.

According to Digital Spy, the 1,809-piece build, officially titled the N-1 Starfighter (set 75442), is designed to mirror the ship seen in both The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. Retailing at £229.99, the set includes detailed elements like an elongated fuselage and exposed engine components, along with two minifigures—Din Djarin and Grogu—and a display stand with an information plaque. At roughly 67 cm in length, the finished model is built for display rather than play.

The release also comes with a limited-time incentive. Customers who purchase the set before May 6 will receive a Mandalorian and Grogu display item as a gift with purchase, while supplies last. It marks the first Ultimate Collector Series addition since last year’s Death Star build, which was one of the largest and most expensive Star Wars sets LEGO has produced.

The timing of the drop aligns with a broader rollout tied to The Mandalorian & Grogu, Lucasfilm’s first theatrical Star Wars film since 2019. Directed by Jon Favreau and co-written with Dave Filoni, the movie follows Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and Grogu as they assist the New Republic in confronting scattered Imperial warlords after the Empire's fall.

That story has been previewed across multiple trailers, including a final look unveiled at CinemaCon in April. The footage emphasized the evolving dynamic between the Mandalorian and Grogu, with the pair facing larger threats while navigating their mentor-apprentice bond.

One line from the film frames that relationship directly: “The old protect the young, and then the young protect the old.”

Earlier teaser footage introduced large-scale action sequences—ranging from AT-AT battles to gladiator-style combat—while also spotlighting Grogu’s expanding role in the story. The film’s ensemble includes Sigourney Weaver, Jeremy Allen White, and Jonny Coyne, along with returning characters from across the Star Wars universe.
