Momma Dee is adding another title to her résumé. The longtime Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta personality has officially opened her Royal Class Kitchen food truck, expanding the Southern comfort-food brand she has been promoting in recent months.
Announcing the milestone on social media, the reality TV veteran revealed that the project had been years in the making.
"My Food Truck is OFFICIALLY OPEN @tharoyalclasskitchen," she wrote. "This has been a long journey, and I couldn't be more proud of the outcome! God is GOOD!" The new venture evolved from plans for a traditional restaurant, with Momma Dee opting instead for a mobile concept that offers greater flexibility and allows her to work closely with her son, rapper Lil Scrappy.
For fans of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, the move marks another chapter in a career that has consistently expanded beyond reality television. Born Deborah Gaither in Atlanta, Momma Dee became one of the original stars of the VH1 franchise when it premiered in 2012.
Her larger-than-life personality, memorable feuds, and turbulent relationship with Ernest Bryant helped make her one of the show's most recognizable faces.
She later ventured into music with singles including "I Deserve" and "In That Order," while also landing acting roles in independent films.
In celebrating the grand opening, Momma Dee gave credit to the people closest to her. "Shoutout to my kids @reallilscrappy for giving me the leads of making this all happen & my daughter @i_am_jazzyk, my dad, sister & all Family & Friends! We DID IT!" she wrote.
The reality star added, "First I want to thank God for giving me life, health, & strength to see this amazing day."
Royal Class Kitchen specializes in Southern comfort food, with full plates typically priced between $28 and $35 and featuring one entrée and two sides. Customers can choose from barbecue chicken, fried chicken, meatloaf, turkey wings, and oxtails, while sides include mac and cheese, collard greens, yams, cabbage, fried corn, and potato salad. Premium offerings such as lollipop lamb chops are also available.
Beyond street service, the operation caters for weddings, birthday parties, and community events.
Momma Dee's entrepreneurial journey comes after an unusually winding path. Following a devastating 1996 car accident that left her temporarily disabled and confined to a wheelchair for several years, she later revealed that she entered Atlanta's underground economy under the nickname "Lady Dee" to support her family.
As Lil Scrappy's music career grew, she transitioned away from that life and eventually found mainstream fame through television. She also holds an associate's degree in nursing from Georgia State University.
With Royal Class Kitchen officially rolling, the self-proclaimed queen is bringing Southern soul food directly to customers—and, in her own words, doing it "in that order."
