The first supertrailer for the upcoming season of Love & Hip‑Hop: Atlanta has officially dropped, and it’s making one thing clear: the franchise is coming back loud, layered, and fully in its bag.

Set to return on February 17 at 8 p.m. on MTV, as confirmed by The Wrap, the preview wastes no time teasing high-stakes reunions, unresolved tensions, and deeply personal storylines.

One of the trailer’s early moments spotlights an unexpected industry crossover, with Jazze Pha and Drumma Boy shown in the same room—an interaction framed as a long-time rarity. “You know how hard it is to have Jazze Pha and Drumma Boy in the same room,” the voice-over says, before the clip cuts to, “It’s time to turn up.”

The trailer also revisits familiar relationship dynamics, including Scrappy and Bambi openly discussing the possibility of reconnecting. “I told Bam that I wanted my family back,” Scrappy says, as the preview hints at lingering feelings and unresolved conflict.

Elsewhere, cast members address fertility fears, legal troubles, anonymous messages that stir distrust, and emotional blowups.

One of the most talked-about moments in the trailer, however, centers on the unraveling of a relationship that long defined the franchise: Mendeecees Harris and Yandy Smith.

Their split, which has dominated headlines, is directly referenced in the new season. The storyline follows Harris’ confirmation that he and Smith are no longer together and revealed that they were never legally married—despite a televised wedding special and a later vow renewal.

“We was never legally married, so we’re not getting a divorce,” Harris said at the time, adding that they’ve been separated for over a year.

Harris explained that the decision not to file marriage paperwork was driven by legal and financial concerns at the time, and that the wedding storyline was created for television. The revelation sparked an intense reaction among longtime viewers who had watched their relationship unfold across multiple seasons.

The fallout extended beyond the couple, drawing Tamar Braxton into the conversation after rumors romantically linked her to Harris.

Braxton later denied any romantic involvement and, following Harris’ clarification, publicly reclaimed the narrative with a series of pointed Instagram Story posts.
