Karlie Redd has closed the door on a legal battle that’s shadowed her personal and professional life this year.

The Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star learned last week that burglary charges filed against her in DeKalb County have been formally dismissed, according to WSB-TV.

Court records show prosecutors signed a “nolle prosequi” order, meaning they will no longer pursue the case. The order noted that while there was probable cause to arrest Redd, the state could not prove the allegations beyond a reasonable doubt.

The 52-year-old reality TV personality, whose legal name is Karlie Lewis, was arrested back in April following a complaint from her estranged husband, Demetrius “Teleau” Belton.

According to a police report obtained by 11Alive following the arrest, Belton alleged that Redd entered a property without permission, broke a rear bedroom door, and removed personal items, including a Rolex watch, debit card, and his birth certificate.

Security footage appeared to show a woman matching Redd’s description entering the residence and leaving with objects concealed under her clothing.

Redd turned herself in on April 23 and was released the same day on a $15,000 bond, with conditions prohibiting contact with Belton. At the time, she maintained her innocence and pointed to the couple’s ongoing divorce as the reason behind the allegations.

“This arrest stemmed from false statements made by my ex-husband,” Redd said in a statement after the dismissal. “I want to clearly state that I was never guilty of the allegations made against me. The dismissal of all charges confirms the truth.”

Her attorney, Steve Sadow—well known in Atlanta’s legal community—also underscored that the charges were connected to the divorce dispute. Sadow had expressed confidence from the beginning that the case would not hold up in court.

Belton himself has faced legal issues during the marriage. He was previously charged in Fulton County with Family Violence Battery against Redd, a detail her defense team highlighted throughout the case.

With the criminal matter resolved, Redd can now focus on her business ventures and career. In September, she opened Red Room Bistro in downtown Atlanta, expanding her brand beyond television.

“My focus now is on continuing my work, advocating for survivors, and moving forward with strength and grace,” Redd said.
