The situation surrounding Quinton Aaron has taken an unexpected and complicated turn.

Just days after the The Blind Side actor was hospitalized and placed on life support following a collapse at home, members of his family are now publicly questioning the legitimacy of the woman identified as his wife — and whether she should be involved in his care at all.

In a statement shared with Us Weekly, Aaron’s relatives said they have “raised some suspicions about the legitimacy of Quinton and Margarita’s marriage to each other, as well as her legitimacy as a registered nurse.”

The family added, “We have found some alarming details. We as a family believe Margarita isn’t who she claimed to be to us. This has caused us to want to investigate her further.”

The allegations don’t stop there. Aaron’s cousin, Asia, told reporters that she believes Margarita may still be legally married to someone else. “I spoke to her real legal husband myself,” she claimed, alleging the man has been married to Margarita for more than three decades.

Margarita has denied wrongdoing and pushed back on the accusations. Speaking to TMZ, she said she and Aaron “got spiritually married” in December 2024. The outlet also reported that she does not hold power of attorney and has not officially made medical decisions on his behalf.

Still, tension remains inside the family. Aaron’s brother, Jarred, told TMZ he believed Margarita had been assisting with “crucial and life-saving medical decisions.”

He also admitted he hasn’t confronted Quinton directly about the concerns yet, saying he plans to wait until his brother is stronger. “I genuinely fear for my brother’s life,” he said.

Margarita responded bluntly: “If he’s saying I’m such a bad person, why does he live with me and Quinton?”

All of this unfolds as Aaron continues recovering from a serious health crisis. The actor suffered what was described as a spinal stroke after his legs suddenly stopped working while he was walking upstairs, causing him to fall.

He was rushed to an Atlanta hospital and later placed on life support due to complications, including a blood infection.

Before the family’s statement, Margarita launched a GoFundMe campaign describing the situation as “sudden, frightening, and overwhelming,” citing mounting medical bills and ongoing living expenses. The fundraiser has pulled in nearly $50,000 from hundreds of donors.

For now, Aaron’s relatives say any official updates will come only from blood family members or their designated spokesperson, urging the public to be cautious about conflicting information as the actor continues his recovery.
