Amanda Bynes is stepping back into public view on her own terms, debuting a new hand tattoo while also opening up about a significant recent weight change.

According to The New York Post, the former child star was spotted this week in Hollywood after visiting Atomic Tattoo & Body Piercing, where she added fresh ink to her left hand.

Shortly after the appointment, Bynes shared a close-up of the tattoo on her Instagram Stories, revealing the phrase “Trap Star” etched just above her thumb.

In another clip, she showed the stencil being applied before the final design was completed, offering fans a brief behind-the-scenes look at the process.

The new tattoo arrives alongside a noticeable physical transformation. Bynes recently disclosed that she has lost close to 30 pounds, explaining that she used the prescription medication Ozempic as part of her weight-loss journey. In a post shared last month, she said she had gone from around 180 pounds to just over 150.

“I usually don’t like paparazzi pictures bc I was 180lbs but now I’ve lost 28lbs on ozempic! I’m down to 152lbs,” Bynes wrote. “I know I still look big but this photo is really inspiring to me!”

While celebrity weight-loss headlines often dominate the conversation, Bynes has consistently framed her experience within a broader discussion about mental health and personal accountability. In past comments, she has spoken candidly about dealing with depression and how it affected her physical well-being.

“I’m doing a lot better now and have learned to do opposite action when I don’t feel like working out or eating clean,” she said in March 2024, referencing a coping strategy often used in behavioral therapy.

Over the past several years, Bynes has largely stayed out of the spotlight, focusing instead on treatment, recovery, and rebuilding her day-to-day life away from Hollywood’s pressures.
