Elmo has big praise for Bad Bunny’s electrifying Halftime Show at the 2026 Super Bowl.
In a post shared on the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, the iconic Sesame Street character chimed in on Bad Bunny’s widely-praised Halftime Show. “That Bunny was AMAZING,” the official Elmo account on X posted. “Elmo thinks he should be called Good Bunny! Elmo loves you, Mr. Good Bunny!”
Bad Bunny’s incredible performance at the Super Bowl has drawn a lot of positive reactions, including from Kacey Musgraves, who said that the show made her feel “proudly American.” She also used it as an opportunity to clown Turning Point USA’s “alternative” Halftime Show featuring Kid Rock, who is famously a big Trump supporter and all-around crummy guy.
It did get some criticism from the likes of Jake Paul, though, who referred to Bad Bunny as a “fake American,” even though Puerto Ricans are U.S. citizens and he also resides there for tax purposes. His brother, Logan Paul, however, fundamentally disagreed with him. “Puerto Ricans are Americans & I’m happy they were given the opportunity to showcase the talent that comes from the island,” he wrote in response to his brother.
Despite all the praise, Trump did come out and express his disapproval of the show. “The Super Bowl Halftime Show is absolutely terrible, one of the worst, EVER! It makes no sense, is an affront to the Greatness of America, and doesn't represent our standards of Success, Creativity, or Excellence,” Trump wrote on his echo chamber, Truth Social. “Nobody understands a word this guy is saying, and the dancing is disgusting, especially for young children that are watching from throughout the U.S.A., and all over the World.”
Featuring memorable set design and striking cinematography, the eight-time Grammy winner’s performance included guest performances from Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin, as well as cameos from Cardi B and Pedro Pascal.
