Bad Bunny Super Bowl Made Kacey Musgraves Feel 'More Proudly American' Than Anything Kid Rock's Done

Kacey Musgraves, like anyone with taste, was locked in for Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Halftime Show performance on Sunday (Feb. 8).

The eight-time Grammy winner made this clear with an X update shared amid global excitement for Benito’s electrifying performance, which featured cameos from Cardi B and Pedro Pascal, just to name a couple.

As you may have been made privy to in recent weeks, presumably against your will, those lost souls on the MAGA cult side of the tracks decided to put together what was ludicrously billed as an “alternative” halftime show on Sunday. Headlining the event, which carried the Turning Point USA banner, was “Bawitdaba” artist (and shitty Nashville bar owner) Kid Rock.

What transpired at the Rock-led event amounted to probably exactly what you’d expect. Bad Bunny, meanwhile, commanded the world’s largest stage with a halftime set that’s certain to go down as one of the most acclaimed in Super Bowl history.

“Well. That made me feel more proudly American than anything Kid Rock has ever done,” Musgraves—who, in this writer’s opinion, should get the chance to headline a future Super Bowl Halftime Show of her own—said after taking in Benito’s performance on Sunday.

While Sunday was arguably Bad Bunny’s night, the NFL was also kind enough to allow for a bit of footballery during the commercials-stacked proceedings. The Seattle Seahawks ultimately cooked the New England Patriots, leading to a swift response from the chronically online 50 Cent, who used the opportunity to joke that he’s unfamiliar with the feeling of defeat.
