The One Piece: Heroines anime special trailer has been released.
According to Crunchyroll, the trailer was screened during the AnimeJapan stage event in Tokyo, Japan on Saturday (March 28). At the time of the announcement, a key visual, additional cast members, and a confirmed release date were also shared.
The anime special adapts "Chapter 1: Nami - The Shoe Must Go On!" from the original novel and is scheduled to air on July 5 in the regular time slot for One Piece.
The newly announced cast includes Miucha, voiced by Maaya Sakamoto, and Lebno, voiced by Takehito Koyasu.
The AnimeJapan stage event also delivered updates on the main One Piece anime ahead of its return on April 5 with the Elbaph Arc.
A new trailer previewed the opening theme “Luminous” performed by idol singer Aina the End, while the ending theme was announced as “Sono Mirai” by rock band 36km/h. It was also confirmed that Loki will be voiced by Yuichi Nakamura.
Crunchyroll shared the official description of the Elbaph Arc: "After a daring escape from the Future Island Egghead, the Straw Hat Crew set their course for a legendary destination. Joined by the mighty Giant Warrior Pirates, they finally reach Elbaph, the long-awaited Land of Giants. New encounters with Giants, and long hoped-for reunions unfold. A colossal new chapter begins as the crew heads into an adventure unlike anything before, all in the pursuit of the ultimate treasure, the One Piece!''
The One Piece series, along with a selection of its theatrical films, can be streamed at Crunchyroll both in Japanese with subtitles and dubbed in English.
