Kim Kardashian shared the emotional journey of preparing for the California bar exam, which she ultimately didn’t pass.

In a video shared to her Instagram on Sunday (Nov. 10), the 45-year-old explained that she had spent the summer filming "the ups, the downs, and everything in between" while preparing for the test.

The footage opened with Kardashian on her bed in tears before flashing back to the final two weeks of studying, when she had been reviewing cases with professors, grinding through courses, and even dreaming about losing points on the exam.

The SKIMS founder also mentioned she had been so overwhelmed that a back injury and "disc issues" added physical pain to the mental strain.

"It’s like every time I feel like l'm a step ahead, something happens to try to stop me from doing this … A part of me just wants to stop,," she said through tears near the 2:38 mark in the video linked above. "I just feel like my brain's gonna explode and I still have so much more to go."

Still, Kim continued studying, and on the eve of the test she said, "I feel really good about everything... I feel prepared."

Kim’s results arrived on November 7, the same day her Hulu series All's Fair premiered, and she learned she did not pass.

She acknowledged the setback on her Instagram Story at the time, writing, "Well... I'm not a lawyer yet, I just play a very well-dressed one on TV." Kardashian reaffirmed her commitment to the long legal journey, saying there would be "no shortcuts, no giving up — just more studying and even more determination."
