Keith Lee called out ICE when asked where to get good food in Los Angeles.
The viral TikTok food critic spoke with ET’s Kevin Frazier on the red carpet of the Grammys on Sunday (Feb. 1).
When asked where to get good food in Los Angeles, the 29-year-old social media star gave a blunt answer that tied food directly to solidarity with immigrant communities.
“Anywhere serving Spanish food, Mexican food. Fuck ICE,” Lee answered near the one-minute, 25-second mark in the video linked above. “God is amazing.”
Lee was hardly the only person calling out the federal agency that evening.
Billie Eilish addressed the issue while accepting the trophy for Song of the Year for “Wildflower.”
“No one is illegal on stolen land. It's just really hard to know what to say and what to do right now. I feel really hopeful in this room, and I feel like we need to keep fighting and speaking up and protesting. Our voices really do matter, and the people matter.”
Bad Bunny delivered a similar message while accepting Best Música Urbana Album for Debí Tirar Más Fotos.
“Before I say thanks to God, I'm gonna say, ICE out," said the Puerto Rican superstar. “We're not savages, we're not animals, we're not aliens. We are humans, and we are Americans.”
He added, "It's tough not to hate on these days. Sometimes we get contaminados [contaminated]. The hate gets more powerful with more hate. The only thing that is more powerful than hate is love. So please, we need to be different. If we fight, we have to do it with love.”
During the Grammys premiere ceremony, Kehlani won Best R&B Performance for "Folded" and used their acceptance speech to speak out as well.
“What I wanna make sure that I say is that everybody is so powerful in this room and in this room later," they said. “And together we're stronger in numbers to speak against all the injustice going on in the world right now. So instead of letting it be just a couple of you here and there, I hope everybody is inspired to join together as a community of artists and speak out against what's going on. And I'm going to leave this and say, fuck ICE.”
