Aqua Teen Hunger Force actor Carey Means has shared that he and his wife are in urgent financial distress and asking for help to stay afloat.
In a Facebook post shared on Tuesday (June 2), Carey revealed that he and his wife, Leah, are struggling to cover basic living expenses and may be facing homelessness.
"Homeless! Please Help!! Our rent went up, and we have to move. We have no money and no credit," read the post.
Carey also told fans that they could donate to him through a number of payment apps or that they can support by buying a plushie or autograph on his official website. "Every little bit helps!" he said.
Carey, whose has also lent his voice to other Adult Swim shows such as Sealab 2021 and The Brak Show, said in a 2024 Facebook post that he does not receive "residuals or royalties." He also said that experiencing heart failure has made it difficult to work out of his home.
At least two GoFundMe fundraisers have been created to assist Means and his wife, one launched in 2025 and another one in February of this year, though neither has met its goal.
Means is best known for voicing Frylock for 143 episodes of Aqua Teen Hunger Force, which ran for 12 seasons from 2000 to 2023.
Fiinancial struggles have also affected other voice actors connected to Adult Swim projects.
C. Martin Croker, known for Space Ghost Coast to Coast and Aqua Teen Hunger Force, reportedly died in debt at age 54, while Andy Merrill, the voice of Brak on Space Ghost Coast to Coast, was previously reported to be working as an Amazon driver.
