Not all biopics are made the same.

The internet is buzzing ahead of the release of Michael, a biographical film about Michael Jackson starring the pop legend’s nephew, which hits theaters on Friday (April 24).

In anticipation of the film, which is getting panned in critic reviews, a Twitter user wrote, "Nothing is worse than that Tupac biopic," referring to the 2017 film All Eyez on Me.

That comment led other users to weigh in with their own picks for the most disappointing portrayals of real-life music stars.

Some people had smoke for 2018’s Bohemian Rhapsody, the biofilm about Freddie Mercury and Queen. Despite being a commercial success at the box office, devoted fans of the iconic rock band have criticized its historical accuracy and some of its storytelling choices.

Others mentioned the Wendy Williams-produced Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B, which was criticized before it could be released, and Netflix’s Selena: The Series, for its portrayal of the late Tejano superstar.

Of course, the Flex Alexander-led Man in the Mirror: The Michael Jackson Story was also included in the discussion.
