Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence will soon share a grandchild as Eric Murphy and Jasmin Lawrence are expecting their first child together. The couple announced the news on social media, writing, “Thank you Jesus for the greatest gift” alongside three heart emojis.
The couple got married last year after getting engaged in 2024. During an appearance on the The Jennifer Hudson Show in 2025, Eddie Murphy revealed that his son and Jasmin wed in an intimate ceremony.
"They went off—everybody was making their big wedding plans, and then they decided they wanted to do something quiet with just the two of them,” Murphy said at the time.
