Congratulations are in order to two of the funniest men in Hollywood and their children.
Eddie Murphy’s son, Eric Murphy, and Martin Lawrence’s daughter, Jasmin Lawrence, announced on Instagram that they are engaged.
The video posted on both of their accounts shows Eric Murphy, 35, bringing Jasmin Lawrence, 28, into a romantic, softly lit setup adorned with candles, white rose petals, and large floral arrangements.
Murphy then popped the question in front of a glowing red heart, and Lawrence joyfully accepted.
“We’re engaged!! God truly blessed us with a love that feels like destiny,” read the caption of their joint post. “We couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter ... Special thank you to everyone who made this moment so beautiful!!”
The pair entered into an Instagram-official relationship in June 2021, People reports.
Lawrence also told InTouch Weekly in January 2022 that it was her uncle, not either of the famous dads, who introduced her to her now-fiancé.
"It wasn't even our dads, and they've done two movies together, they're friends," Lawrence told the magazine at the time. "We became really good friends because we bonded on a lot of things, and over time, it just, you know, became more."
