Martin Lawrence and Eddie Murphy are back at it.

Lawrence appeared on the Jennifer Hudson Show, where the titular host asked about the two comedians’ kids dating. In 2021, Martin’s daughter, Jasmin, and Eddie’s son, Eric publicized their relationship.

When Hudson asked if Lawrence and Murphy were working on anything together, Martin revealed that they had been. “We’re gonna do a sequel to Blue Streak—we’re writing it right now," he revealed.

The original Blue Streak arrived in 1999. Alongside Lawrence, the buddy cop action comedy flick also features Luke Wilson, Dave Chappelle, Peter Greene, Nicole Ari Parker, and William Forsythe. While Murphy wasn’t involved in that project, he and Lawrence have appeared in other films together, including 1992’s Boomerang and 1999’s Life.

Meanwhile the children of the famous movie stars, Jasmin and Eric, have been making headlines since confirming their romance. Earlier this year, rumors swirled that the couple was ready to walk down the aisle together, but that wasn’t the case. However, it seems the pair is looking forward to the possibility and their future together.

Lawrence told Hudson that Eddie’s son is “a great young man.” When asked who’s more protective, him or Murphy, Lawrence said, “I think we probably both are protective. We want the best for our children. We let them do their own thing and make their choices, stay out of their business, and let them find their way.”
