Eddie Murphy’s son and Martin Lawrence’s daughter are married.
Murphy revealed the news on The Jennifer Hudson Show, telling the host that his son, Eric married Jasmin around “two weeks ago” in an intimate ceremony.
"They went off—everybody was making their big wedding plans, and then they decided they wanted to do something quiet with just the two of them,” Murphy explained.
He also joked that Lawrence doesn’t have to “pay for the wedding now.”
Eric proposed to Jasmin in November 2024. Video of the special moment shows the 35-year-old getting down on one knee to propose to his now-wife, while candles, white roses, and a giant red heart surround the pair.
Eric shared the news on Instagram, writing, “God truly blessed us with a love that feels like destiny. We couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter. Special thank you to everyone who made this moment so magical.”
At that point, they had been dating for just over three years, hard-launching their relationship on IG in July 2021. Last year, they made their red carpet debut at the Los Angeles premiere of Murphy’s new Beverly Hills Cop: Alex F film.
Earlier this year, Lawrence discussed the then-pending nuptials between his 29-year-old daughter and Eric, telling Sherri Shepherd that he didn’t mind covering the costs for the wedding.
"Eddie said, 'Naw, naw.' He said I had to pay for the last six weddings. 'Cause Eddie got a lot of children," Lawrence said on Sherri. "So he said, 'You paying for this one.'" So I don't have a problem with it."
Lawrence added that he'll let Murphy handle the reception toast: "He's funnier.”
