Pooh Shiesty’s father, who is currently out on bond after being charged for taking part in his son’s alleged robbery and kidnapping of Gucci Mane, has requested a judge to modify the terms of his bond so that he can travel for “work purposes.”
According to legal documents obtained by Complex, Lontrell Williams Sr.’s legal team filed a motion to modify conditions of release on Thursday (June 18). In it, Williams, who is currently on home incarceration, asked for two changes.
First, he requested that the courts allow him to "travel to and from his attorneys' offices in the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas," since he’s not allowed to take home any information related to the case — he can only view it in the presence of his attorneys.
The second request is that he be allowed to travel within the Western District of Tennessee (which includes Memphis) for work reasons.
In the filing, Williams revealed the request is due to the fact that he owns, manages, and renovates more than eight properties in Memphis. He asked to be able to travel so he can assist with the required daily maintenance, construction work, and collaboration with contractors for the completion of the projects.
These properties are how Williams supports his family and pays legal fees, according to the documents. He also mentioned that one of the properties was recently broken into, and he believes that without being able to go to the properties, they’re all subject to vandalism, code violations, and disrepair.
Williams requested either to have a curfew from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or to have his home incarceration changed to home detention. The case's judge has yet to rule on Williams' request.
Williams was granted bond last month — despite efforts to revoke it by federal prosecutors — for his role in the alleged robbery and kidnapping of Gucci Mane that is claimed to have involved him, his son Pooh Shiesty, rapper Big30, and six other defendants. The trial is set to begin in February, 2027.
