Ice Spice was attacked in a Hollywood McDonalds this week, and the woman responsible has now shared her side of the story.
The attacker, who’s reportedly named Vayah, explained herself to TMZ, claiming that she and a group of friends went to McDonald’s to use the bathroom and saw the rapper eating with a friend.
Vayah claimed that she went over to the table, introduced herself and complimented Ice Spice but the rapper was argumentative in return. “Immediately Ice Spice was being rude. She was like ‘Why are you over here? You can leave, bye,’” said Vayah. “I was like, ‘Why are you being rude? Pretty much.’”
Vayah continued, claiming that she told Ice Spice she didn’t have to be rude before asking the rapper where she was from. “She said, ‘I’m from New York,’” Vayah began. “Let me tell you something. You’re in LA. You’re in my city now, and you can’t be out here disrespecting people. If you wanted us to leave, you could have just said, politely, ‘I’m not in the mood.’”
The tense situation appeared to turn into a full-blown fight after Ice Spice allegedly called Vayah a “bitch.” After Vayah was escorted from the restaurant after hitting Ice Spice, she claims that she fought the rapper again outside, which footage published by TMZ appeared to show. Vayah also alleges that Ice Spice broke her friend’s phone screen.
Vayah concluded her video by saying that because of what happened, she’s no longer a fan of Ice Spice. “As a fan, I’m not expecting you to be rude,” she said. “She had a different attitude towards me. She lost a fan. I can’t listen to her anymore.”
The security footage of the altercation appears to show something different. In the video, posted by TMZ, Vayah is seen approaching the table and asking if they’re “ready” to “shake ass.”
“That’s what you do? You shake ass?” Ice Spice is heard asking, before telling Vayah to “go do it then.” Vayah is then seen asking if Ice Spice is from California and claimed she was from Chicago herself. She’s then seen slapping the rapper.
In a statement to TMZ, Ice Spice’s lawyer revealed that the attack has been reported to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Ice Spice has yet to address the situation on social media.
