Ice Spice has her eye on the prize.
The “Thootie” rapper appeared on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live alongside Kate Hudson. During the broadcast, host Andy Cohen asked both women to share their New Year's resolutions. While Hudson had an effusive explanation about wanting to read more, Ice very directly said, “Just make more money.”
Her answer made Hudson and Cohen laugh. “That is real,” Cohen said.
“No, I’m deadass,” Ice replied.
One way the 25-year-old could deepen her pockets in 2026 is through her burgeoning acting career. Earlier this year, in August, she made her film and acting debut in Spike Lee’s Highest 2 Lowest, where she played Marisol Cepeda. She also voiced a character in the new The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants, which opened just last week, and contributed the song “Big Guy” to the soundtrack.
For the SpongeBob premiere, Ice turned heads with a sheer, white lace dress and pink wig. The new live-action film is currently in theaters.
As for the “Big Guy” song, the Bronx native recently shared some insight into the making on The Kelly Clarkson Show.
“This was probably the hundredth draft, probably, that finally made it out—that you guys are hearing,” she said at the time. “The whole premise of the film is about Spongebob becoming a ‘big guy,’ and so I had to really incorporate that phrase throughout the song. It all turned out to really work out in the end and I'm just happy that it took this many drafts because it's my favorite one.”
