Ice Spice is gearing up to make her voiceover debut in an upcoming SpongeBob SquarePants movie.

Ahead of its theatrical release on December 19, on Thursday (November 13), The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants trailer dropped, with the Y2K artist making a splash as a fish working at Bikini Bottom High School. Also heard in the trailer is Ice's "Big Guy" track, featured on the SpongeBob soundtrack.

"Don't make me call security," Ice's character says in the trailer, while wearing an Annie-style wig similar to the rapper.

The film marks Ice's second role in a movie this year, as she was last spotted in the Spike Lee-directed Highest 2 Lowest.

Also starring in the fourth SpongeBob movie are cast members of the original Nickelodeon show, like Tom Kenny, who's voiced the titular character for over 25 years, along with George Lopez, Regina Hall, Sherry Cola and more.

"Desperate to be a big guy, SpongeBob sets out to prove his bravery to Mr. Krabs by following The Flying Dutchman — a mysterious swashbuckling ghost pirate — on a seafaring comedy-adventure that takes him to the deepest depths of the deep sea, where no Sponge has gone before," the film's synopsis reads.

Ice was perfect for the film considering that her 2023 song "Bikini Bottom" references the fictional underwater city in SpongeBob SquarePants. The song's production, courtesy of RIOTUSA, was also inspired by the classic children's show.
