Ice Spice and Tokischa reunited in the Dominican Republic to throw down in the kitchen.
Their stream on Thursday (Nov. 6) took place at Tokischa’s house and saw the rappers prepare pollo guisado con moro, a typical Dominican dish consisting of rice, beans, and stewed chicken.
“I'm in DR for the first time in 20 years,” said Ice at the beginning of the stream. “Girl, I have not been here since I was 5, but I'm with the Dominican princess herself, Tokischa.”
“Dominican queen, babes,” Tokischa said, playfully correcting Ice.
"Oop, I'm the Dominican princess, she's the Dominican queen," Ice quipped.
Ice Spice, who is Dominican-American, told The New York Times in 2023 that she speaks Spanish and had been chatting with Tokischa about working together.
When asked about her Spanish-speaking skills during a 2023 interview with Hot 97, Ice Spice said, “I understand it better than I speak it. But I do speak it only to people that don't speak English. I'm one of those. Like, if I know you speak English? It's over, I'm speaking to you in English.”
Although Ice and Toki have yet to release a musical collaboration, fans might not have to wait much longer.
Last month, the two shared content from a recording studio. Whether Ice Spice will rap in Spanish over a dembow track or Tokischa will give her take on Bronx drill remains to be seen.
