Ice Spice channeled her inner anime icon in Japan this Halloween, performing in full Sailor Moon cosplay during her headlining set at Verdy’s Harajuku Horror Night in Tokyo.

Held at Spotify O-East and Azumaya in Shibuya, the annual event is known as one of the wildest Halloween parties in Japan. Organized by Verdy, the creative force behind Girls Don’t Cry and Wasted Youth, the night pulls in Tokyo’s most fashion-forward crowd, all showing up in elaborate costumes that push the boundaries of style, culture, and imagination.

This year’s installment leveled up with a special collaboration alongside Kyun Desu, one of the leading hyperpop collectives in Tokyo, and showcased an incredible lineup led by Ice Spice.

For her performance, Ice Spice paid tribute to one of Japan’s most beloved pop culture icons, Sailor Moon, the magical girl alter ego of Usagi Tsukino from Naoko Takeuchi’s legendary 1990s anime and manga series. She is known for her sailor-style outfit, cosmic powers, and catchphrase: “In the name of the Moon, I’ll punish you!”

Wearing a glittering blue-and-white ensemble complete with a red bow and knee-high boots, Ice Spice brought the anime fantasy character to life on stage, seamlessly blending Bronx attitude with Harajuku energy. Even Verdy himself joined the festivities in costume, adding to the immersive atmosphere that has made Harajuku Horror Night a highlight of Tokyo’s creative calendar.
