Ice Spice currently can’t get behind the wheel.
“My license is suspended right now, but that’s for another time,” the “Bikini Bottom” rapper told Big Boy at around the 24:10 minute mark. “I’m not really sure why. I have like violations,” she added.
She explained that she doesn’t know what the violations are, and that her license has been suspended in New York for a “couple weeks now.”
While Ice does have a driver, she “loves” driving her car. “My people told me I can’t drive my car for a little while. So I’m like fuck,” she said.
Big Boy then joked about the situation, saying, “Dude, that’s crazy ‘cause when you first walked in, I didn’t know you were a criminal.” The comment made the 24-year-old gasp and smile.
“A criminal is crazy. No, I would be breaking the law if I drove with a suspended license,” she responded. “I’m trying to avoid going to the DMV.”
Ice’s debut album, Y2K! arrived in late July, and later debuted at No. 18 on the Billboard 200. She celebrated the moment on X and thanked her fans.
"Like..? did 15k so thank u to everyone who supported me then & thank u to all the new supporters," she wrote, comparing Y2K!’s first-week numbers to her EP, Like..? opening at No. 37 in 2023.
"Y2K! WORLD TOUR been so fun that these numbers are cool and all but bitch u should of seen that Boston CROWD last night."
