Big Tigger has taken to social media to further deny battery and cruelty allegations after he was arrested earlier this week.
On Wednesday (June 24), the radio host (real name Darian Morgan) took to Instagram to address his supporters and thank them for their support during this difficult time.
"I unequivocally deny every allegation that has been made against me," he wrote. "For the past 30+ years, I have built my life around relationships and community. Those who know me know the man, father, husband, and friend I have been throughout my life."
"Because this is an active legal matter, I am limited in what I can say," he continued. "What I can say is that I have complete confidence in the facts and in the legal process."
Tigger concluded his statement by expressing his intent to cooperate with authorities and "trust that the truth will come to light."
His comments come after he was arrested and taken into custody at Fulton County Jail on Saturday (June 20) on charges of aggravated battery and cruelty to children in the third degree. He bonded out the same day.
The charges stem from an incident that allegedly took place at the couple's home on May 9. Arrest warrants obtained by 11Alive state that Tigger’s wife, Alicia Brown, met with Sandy Springs Police on June 9 and provided a written statement. She told investigators the confrontation allegedly began in their bedroom over text messages between Tigger and a female colleague, then escalated when he followed her to their shared home office.
Authorities say a Ring camera inside the office partially captured what happened next: Big Tigger allegedly shoved Brown, causing her to fall headfirst into a door and suffer a deep laceration above her left eye.
Brown had previously told police that Tigger allegedly tackled her to the floor in the bedroom during the same incident, leaving a bruise on her hip. The couple's 13-year-old son was reportedly inside the home and is claimed to have heard the altercation.
Tigger took Brown to an urgent care facility in DeKalb County that night. Medical personnel there, noting the severity of her injuries, contacted police in Dunwoody. Brown initially declined to speak with officers, later saying she feared what her husband might do and worried his public profile would work against her.
In a statement issued on June 12, Brown wrote: "I want to be clear: I have never called my husband an abuser. Social media has drawn its own conclusions from information that was shared, but those conclusions are not statements I have made."
That same day, Tigger spoke about the situation on V-103. "I want to say categorically — categorically, these allegations and accusations that are circulating about me are false, untrue, not happening, didn't happen," he said. "I unequivocally deny every allegation that has been made against me."
