ASAP Rocky’s Don’t Be Dumb rollout continues with his announcement of a new single, “Helicopter,” coming out on Jan. 12.
Rocky let the world know about the imminent release of the track with a post on social media featuring several clips from what appears to be the music video. A helicopter can be seen flying around a studio in one of them.
The cover for the single also appears in the post, and it features what appears to be Rocky on the cover of a PlayStation Game that takes inspiration from Grand Theft Auto.
In the caption for the post, Rocky hyped up the release in all caps.
“DUMBEST VIDEO OF THE FUCCIN YEAR 🔥🔥🔥!!! PLAY DUMB GAMES , WIN DUMB PRIZES!!! HELICOPTER THIS MONDAY 🔥!!!” he wrote.
“Helicopter” will be the latest taste of Rocky’s upcoming album that’s set to drop on Jan. 16. The rapper previously released the track “Punk Rocky,” which sounds exactly like its name, a move that may indicate how Don’t Be Dumb is likely to consist of multiple genres.
In the video for the track that stars Winona Ryder, Rocky and his band play loud music — much to the chagrin of their neighbors.
Rocky’s Don’t Be Dumb is arriving after several major delays, initially attributed to “leaks and clearance stuff.” Eventually, Rocky joked the album was never dropping, before finally beginning the current rollout.
