6ix9ine is asking to receive six months of house arrest instead of having to go to jail after admitting to assault and drug possession.

In documents obtained by Complex, 6ix9ine’s attorney, Lance Lazzaro, pleaded for Judge Paul Engelmayer not to give the rapper jail time because of how dangerous it could be for him due to his notoriety and history of working with the government.

“Due to Mr. Hernandez’s classification, he always serves his jail time segregated and fully isolated from other inmates,” wrote Lazzaro. “As a result, Mr. Hernandez is given extremely limited social interaction with other inmates and very little time outside to get fresh air and exercise.”

Lazzaro notes that the probation department is recommending a different sentence for his client: three months behind bars. Prosecutors have yet to weigh in with a recommendation.

6ix9ine’s plea comes months after he confessed to violating the terms of his supervised release via possession of cocaine and MDMA, as well as copping to an assault that happened during a confrontation at a Florida mall when a man reportedly called him a “snitch.”

Lazzaro admits to 6ix9ine's participation in the assault in his letter, but says that the man was "not seriously injured."

At the time of the assault, 6ix9ine was about to be sentenced for his previous supervised release violation. In that instance, the rapper pleaded guilty to possessing MDMA and cocaine after police raided his house in March.

6ix9ine has been on house arrest since late September, when he first admitted to the assault. His ultimate sentence will be decided by Judge Engelmayer on Nov. 20.
