A federal judge has ordered 6ix9ine to pay $250,000 for a breach of contract regarding a performance at Howard University.

According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, the U.S. District Court in Washington D.C. ordered the Brooklyn native to pay compensatory damages for skipping out on a sold-out show for Howard University’s 2018 homecoming bash. Hits Before Fame LLC and After Hours LLC paid 6ix9ine almost $60,000, signed a contract and recorded a video promo for his appearance at the event.

The Howard University event had surpassed $165,000 in ticket sales, and over 3,000 people showed up to catch 6ix9ine in action. The show was canceled, and instead of honoring the terms of the deal, 6ix9ine showed up at Power 105’s annual Powerhouse concert at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.

The promoters for the Howard University event were also seeking damages for defamation since 6ix9ine claimed he didn’t show up because he never received the money. The judge denied the request on the grounds that 6ix9ine could have been referring to his former manager, Shotti, pocketing the money.

6ix9ine recently posted himselfgetting his ankle monitor removedafter completing a 90-day house arrest. In the video the rapper is accompanied by two women and sang along to lyrics from a new track before jumping into a nearby pool.

"I'm freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee 🤘," 6ix9ine wrote in the caption.
