Young Thug Calls Mariah the Scientist His 'Wife' After Bringing Her Out at Coachella

“Make some noise for my motherfuckin’ wife,” Thug told the crowd.

Young Thug welcomed Mariah the Scientist to the stage during his Coachella set on Sunday (April 19), referring to her as his “wife” while speaking with the crowd.

Mariah, as seen in clips making the rounds after the Indio festival’s 2026 edition came to a close, was a special guest during Sunday’s set. She performed “Burning Blue,” a standout off last year’s Hearts Sold Separately album.

“Make some noise for my motherfuckin’ wife,” Thug told the crowd.

“Thank you, everybody! Give it up for Young Thug!” Mariah added.

In December of last year, Thug proposed to Mariah during his show in Atlanta. The two, who have been romantically linked for some time now, have a number of collaborations to their name, including work on last year’s UY SCUTI. On the album, Mariah appears on both “Invest Into You” and “Dreams Rarely Do Come True.”

Coachella’s 2026 lineup saw Thug joined on the bill for two weeks in Indio by Justin Bieber, Sabrina Carpenter, Karol G, Slayyyter, Clipse, and more. During the first weekend, as we reported at the time, Camila Cabello made a surprise appearance to perform her and Thug’s 2018 hit “Havana,” which peaked at No. 1 on the Hot 100 songs chart.

With another Coachella in the books, we can expect plenty of speculation in the coming months as to who, exactly, will be leading the lineup for 2027. For now, Olivia Rodrigo seems like a real possibility, with other potential frontrunners certain to emerge in the months ahead.
