Max B, who's confirmed to have new music on the horizon, continues to be everywhere following his long-awaited release from prison.
On Thursday (Nov. 20), the Silver Surfer was brought out as a special guest at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on the latest stop of Brandy and Monica’s The Boy Is Mine Tour. Max came out during Monica’s set, ultimately performing his 2008 track “Sexy Love” for the enthusiastic crowd.
“Welcome home, my brother,” Monica said as Max walked out to the opening sounds of the Wave Pack track.
Brandy and Monica’s tour has boasted a number of noteworthy guest appearances across its scheduled three-month run, and Thursday’s Barclays stop was no exception. Ciara, Tyrese, Fabolous, and Fat Joe also surprised the New York audience. The tour is next set to hit Newark’s Prudential Center, followed by shows this weekend in Atlantic City and Hampton.
Next Friday, Max B is expected to roll out his first new project since his release. Titled The First Purge (Patient Zero), it’ll serve as the seventh entry in Max’s Public Domain series. As of this writing, a pre-save page lists the project as spanning 24 tracks.
“I’m feeling righteous,” Max recently told The People Gallery in a fit-check interview conducted at a New York Jets and Cleveland Browns game. “Feeling good. I’m grateful. I’m thankful. God is good.”
In the same conversation, the 47-year-old Harlem rapper expressed interest in collaborating with “anybody that can keep up” with him.
“I’mma get you wavy,” he promised.
