J. Cole Gets Asked Whether He'll Appear on Drake's 'Iceman' Album, Says 'I Don't Know About That'

Fans are expecting Drake's latest solo full-length to arrive at some point this year.

It was inevitable that J. Cole would be faced with a question about Drake’s upcoming Iceman album while traversing the country in support of his own The Fall-Off.

This week, we got exactly that, though Cole’s reaction to the question neither confirms, nor denies, any speculation as to whether fans can expect him to show up for Drake’s solo For All the Dogs follow-up. The two have linked in the past, of course, most notably for the Dogs-era hit “First Person Shooter” and a 2024 tour.

“Can we expect you on Iceman?” Cole was asked by a reporter for the @Bars platform, as seen in a video shared on Tuesday (Feb. 24).

Cole then asked for the question to be repeated, which led to the headlined answer you’re reading about right now.

“Ah, I don’t know about that,” Cole offered.

See the moment in full below. To be fair, it wasn’t entirely clear whether Cole heard the entire question. Seemingly, the clip was captured around the same time he made an appearance at Marathon Burger in Los Angeles.

“First Person Shooter,” released in 2023, was followed in 2024 by Kendrick Lamar’s explosive appearance on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That,” which saw Dot denouncing the Drake and Cole track’s “big three” declaration.

A full-fledged, charts-topping feud between Kendrick and Drake followed. Cole, however, stepped out of the situation early on.

As for Iceman, we still don’t have a publicly confirmed release date. Drake has been busy teasing the project for some time, offering no shortage of cryptic Instagram updates along the way. He’s further teased what might be ahead with a smattering of new tracks, including “Dog House” with Julia Wolf and Yeat, released last year.
