Drake Laughs Off 'Iceman' Release Date Request From BenDaDonnn: 'He's a Clip Farmer'

Could 'Iceman' still arrive before year's end?

Drake has reassured fans that Iceman is “on the way,” though he’s again declined to get specific on when, exactly, to expect what will mark his first new solo album since 2023’s For All the Dogs.

The latest update on the long-teased project, which will presumably feature the most-streamed artist on Apple Music for 2025’s “Dog House” track with Yeat and Julia Wolf, came during a recent stream with BenDaDonnn. At one point during the stream, Ben was questioned by Drake, and ultimately shut down, when he pointed to an apparent release date inquiry from the chat.

“When the fuck is you dropping the album, ugly ass n***a? Chat, y’all gotta chill,” Ben said during the stream.

“Nobody said that,” Drake responded with a laugh, later joking that Ben himself was making the request from a burner account. “See, he’s clip farming. He’s a clip farmer. Nobody even said that, bro. Nobody said that.”

During the same stream, Drake offered an “[Iceman] on the way, that’s all I know.” Elsewhere, he suggested that work remained in progress on the album, telling viewers he and the OVO team “took a little break” to make the Ben stream happen.

“But, you know, we’re focused,” he added. “I know what you’re waiting on, so trust me. We’re cheffing.”

For much of 2025, the widely held assumption was that Drake’s new album would arrive before we stepped into a new year. With just over a week left before 2026 begins its reign, that remains a possibility.
