21 Savage is confident Drake and Metro Boomin will set aside their differences and work together again in the “near future.”
During a three-hour chat with Big Bank released on the eve of his new album’s release, 21, who has numerous Metro collabs to his name, compared the relationship he has with the Grammy-nominated producer to the one he has with the 6 God, another frequent collaborator of his.
“I fuck with Drake,” 21 said. “The relationship keeps itself [going], just like me and Metro. I tried to get them together long, long, long before all this shit happened. Metro felt how he felt. Metro felt a certain type of way about something. Drake told me and Metro that he understood where he was wrong and he apologized multiple times, but I feel like Metro just felt how he felt.”
As fans are aware, suspicions of apparent issues between Drake and Metro date back to at least 2023. When Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s feud kicked into gear the following year, starting with a song off Metro and Future’s We Don’t Trust You project, these issues became a bit clearer.
According to 21, however, Metro would now be open to reconciling with Drake.
“I feel like now Metro is kind of more openminded,” he told Big Bank in Thursday’s interview. “I don’t know. I feel like Metro been through a lot. Sometimes the shit just don’t be the right time. But I feel like in the future, the near future, we’ll see them work together again.”
As previously reported, the same interview also saw 21 going long on his reasoning for cautioning Drake against leaning into his feud with Kendrick.

21 has expressed optimism about Drake and Metro patching things up in the past. In May of last year, he told fans he considered both artists “my brother,” adding that the two will “figure that shit out eventually.”
Drake and Metro both appear on 21’s WHAT HAPPENED TO THE STREETS? album, released Friday.
