As the ice continues to melt at Drake’s Iceman installation in his hometown of Toronto, which will soon lead to the reveal of the long-teased album’s release date, one lucky fan has been given another reason to celebrate after winning a new car from Zachery Dereniowski, a.k.a. @mdmotivator.

In one video, shared on Monday evening (April 20), Dereniowski is seen scaling the structure while alerting fellow fans that he’s placing a key “right in the middle of the block of ice,” noting that the first person to retrieve it will be given a new car.

“We’re here at Drake’s Iceman massive block of ice,” Dereniowski said. “I’m a big fan of Drake, and what I wanna do [is] the first person who gets this key gets a brand new car. Drake means so much to me, to this city. He’s all about giving back and spreading love and that’s what I love too.”

In a follow-up video, shared in the early hours of Tuesday (April 21), we’re introduced to the winner. The fan in question, Antonio, as seen below, explained that he’s been working at a restaurant for years in pursuit of buying his own car. Once his realization of the gravity of the moment started to settle in, Antonio’s demeanor shifted into full-fledged celebration mode, leading to a touching call to his mother.

“Mommy, you’re on speaker and we’re probably talking in front of a lot of people right now, so don’t say anything silly,” he advised his mother while taking the call from behind the wheel of his newly acquired vehicle. “I just won a car.”

Elsewhere in the video, Antonio gleefully stated that Dereniowski had “blessed us infinitesimally,” a somewhat perplexing remark that Drake himself had a little fun with later.

“THIS ALBUM BOUT TO PLAY INFINTESEMALLY [sic] KNOW DAT,” Drake wrote in a comment.

In another comment, Drake declared Dereniowski “THE FUCKING GOAT.”

Launched this week, Drake’s ice structure in Toronto, marking the latest performance art-adjacent element of his Iceman rollout, means that the solo For All the Dogs follow-up is, without question, finally imminent. We’ll have to wait for the official release date reveal, though, if speculation holds, we won’t have to wait very long.
