As the weather continues to warm up to eventually unbearable levels here in the States, Drake is keeping things cold in anticipation of his long-teased Iceman album.
On Sunday (April 12), Drake, who last released a new solo album with 2023’s For All the Dogs, shared a photo to Instagram showing a pair of iced-over courtside seats at the Toronto Raptors’ Scotiabank Arena. That night, the Raptors played the Brooklyn Nets, ultimately coming out on top with a final score of 136.
While Drake didn’t offer any direct commentary on the Iceman-promoting seats, fans were quick to take this latest tease as a sign that the album is almost certainly nearing release, this after previously being expected to drop in 2025.
The teases have been consistent as of late, as have the characteristically cryptic IG updates. In March, Drake even managed to tuck in an Iceman tease during his appearance at the 2026 Junos, not to mention a nod to his prior Take Care snubs at the annual awards ceremony.
“To the Junos, because you are honoring one of my dearest friends tonight, I will spare you,” Drake said in a video message while inducting Nelly Furtado into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. “Even though I know you're still thinking about those six awards that you gave to Shad in 2011 when you snubbed Take Care as I hosted the 40th anniversary of your award show. But listen, that's neither here nor there. Tonight, we'll let it go. This is about Nelly. … Enjoy your Hall of Fame status. It's long overdue. Kill the performance. We love you, dawg. Iceman coming soon.”
An official drop date for Iceman, preceded by last year’s release of a joint Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR project (which netted the duo a Grammy nomination), remains unknown. As it stands now, though, it looks like a summer launch is likely.
