Sammie has spoken candidly about an alleged physical altercation involving Ray J, while making it clear there's still love between the pair.
On Tuesday (April 14), Sammie took to Instagram to share news of the supposed incident, claiming: "I beat up Ray J last night. He was talking crazy to me smh."
After sparking a plethora of reactions online, he later added more context in the post's caption, writing: "He started it, then I finished it. But that’s my brother and ima pull up on him once he heals. His back hurts lol. No more Kettle One for him. I thought he was joking till it wasn’t funny anymore."
Despite the blunt nature of his comments, Sammie’s tone suggested the situation hasn’t completely fractured their relationship, referring to Ray J as his "brother" and hinting that they’ll reconnect after things cool down.
At time of publishing, Ray J is yet to respond to Sammie's claims. However, the "One Wish" hitmaker's last IG Story, posted on Monday evening (April 13), was a video of him and Sammie hanging out, in which he told fans in Atlanta that the two of them would be out in the city.
"Yo, ATL, we outside. I just came out to hang out with my brother Sammie. We chillin'. We outside. We hanging out tonight. Meet us in Atlanta, in the city. Hit Sammie on the DM," he said in the clip, before laughing. "And we got some big shit happening tonight and tomorrow; so it's only for a chosen few so hit this n***a and then let's figure it out. Atlanta, let's go."
Sammie's original post drew a mix of concern and humor from fans, with some questioning whether the situation was serious or just another example of the two artists' sometimes chaotic dynamic.
Their history adds context to the moment. Sammie and Ray J have worked closely over the years, most notably as part of the R&B collective RSVP alongside Bobby V and Pleasure P.
