Meek Mill is reacting to one of the internet’s latest viral conspiracy theories after social media users became convinced a former military official appeared on Fox News wearing a realistic silicone mask.
The Philadelphia rapper weighed in after clips of retired Navy Vice Adm. Robert Harward began circulating online following his appearance Tuesday on Fox News’ America’s Newsroom. During the segment, Harward discussed the ongoing conflict involving Iran, but viewers quickly became distracted by his appearance, particularly by what some users claimed was an unusual line or dark mark around his neck.
As conspiracy theories exploded across X and other social media platforms, Meek joined the conversation with a post expressing both confusion and disbelief.
“I need a explanation Or ima feel like we under siege with mind control!” Meek wrote. “Wassup with bro bro neck!”
The viral theories quickly spiraled into bizarre territory, with some online users theorizing Harward was wearing a CIA mask or some kind of Hollywood-style prosthetic disguise during the interview.
Others pushed even more extreme conspiracies, attempting to connect the clip to theories about public figures allegedly being replaced.
According to the New York Post, the theories gained so much traction online that prediction-betting platform Polymarket reportedly launched wagers on whether there was actually something unusual happening in the clip.
Still, there is no evidence supporting claims that Harward wore a prosthetic mask during the Fox News appearance. The dark part by his neck could also be chalked up to lighting, camera quality, or even his collar.
Harward, who was previously considered for National Security Advisor under President Donald Trump, has not publicly responded to the viral conspiracy theories or social media reactions surrounding the clip.
