UPDATED 4/28, 7:30 p.m. ET: Meek Mill wants to make it clear that his purported $80 million earnings weren’t directly because of his feud with Drake.
On Tuesday, the rapper shared Complex’s reporting about the aforementioned story to his X account and wrote, “Not because of the beef, I went to prison had the biggest movement and came home and made the best album of my life!”

Meek Mill says he’s made millions since feuding with Drake.
“Since I went independent shit been moving so weird,” Meek tweeted on Monday evening. “I'm still selling out all my shows that's why I made that Charlamagne [tha God] shit a issue ... I made like 80m off rap since drake beef he not on my level of achievements to tell lies about my brand to the masses.”
The two rappers began beefing in 2015 after Meek alleged that Drizzy used a ghostwriter on their 2015 song, “R.I.C.O.” Tensions heightened when they started lobbing diss tracks at one another, including Drake’s “Back to Back,” which became the first-ever diss track to be nominated for a Grammy. The pair went on to fully squash their feud in 2018, around the time Meek was released from jail, and subsequently released the 2019 song, “Going Bad.”
More recently, Charlamagne spoke on Mill’s career, saying that the Philadelphia native struggled to recover from “Back to Back.” Meek responded by outlining his achievements following his 2018 prison release.
“Since Drake beef I drop tap 3x platinum… peta double platinum… blue notes 1 and 2 platinum… uptown vibes with legend from Brooklyn fab platinum… what’s free feat jayz meek mill I think it’s plat… fuck on me ft cardi b platinum,” he wrote at the top of April.
“How far we came… he actually switched up on drake because he helped power the meek was done narrative was done… now he’s using the same against drake… im good with drake and jayz as far as I know… keep me out this weak ass shit.”
Over the weekend, Meek alleged that an unspecified label has been telling people not to play his music since he “went indy,” saying that, “they tried to kill my name.” Meek has been independent since at least 2025.
